Edward Preston Thal

Edward Preston Thal died peacefully on October 14, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Toledo, Ohio on December 17, 1933, a son of the late Preston and Hortense Thal.  He was the beloved  husband of Jean (Marco) Thal.  He is predeceased by daughter Kim (Thal) Wyzard.  Devoted father and father-in-law of Karin and Troy Brown and stepfather of Andrew and Maia Shaffer.  Dear grandfather of Ashley Hall (Dennis), Lindsay Paige Johnson, Karly Davila (Kevin), Hunter Brown,  Courtney Wyzard, and Nicholas and Christopher Shaffer.    Great grandfather to newly born,  Brynley Brooke Hall.  He also leaves behind his loving twin brother Harry P. Thal, along with brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Lucy and Mark, Maria and Brian, Frank and Kelly and Chris.  Ed will be sadly missed by Wendy and Doug along with his many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  The family would like to thank all the staff at Vitas for all their loving care and support.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, starting at 6 PM at  the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home 7001 NW 4 Street Plantation, FL 33317.   A memorial service will be held at  the Funeral Home on Wednesday eveningat 7PM.    For those who wish  donations may be made to Vitas Charitable Fund 5420 NW 33 Avenue Suite 100 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
