Edwin Albert Hamilton, Jr. 82, passed away on January 18, 2018 peacefully in his sleep at his home in Coconut Creek, Florida. Edwin was born July 19, 1935 in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. He graduated there, class of 1953. He attended Northeastern University in Boston and received his degree in Electrical Engineering. Ed served in the Army at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama from 1958 to 1961 achieving rank of 1st Lieutenant A native New Englander, Edwin worked in the electrical engineering field for many years, and contributed to NASA’s space program at one time. He enjoyed bringing his family to Sandy Island Camp in New Hampshire, for many summers. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Hamilton, of Coconut Creek, FL. He leaves his five children from his first marriage; Mark Hamilton of Bedford New Hampshire, Elizabeth Pruszynski of Longwood Florida, Bruce Hamilton of Hampstead New Hampshire, Roberta Franzini of Hollis New Hampshire, and Heather Francoeur of Bow, New Hampshire. Edwin will be laid to rest with military honors. at South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on Wed, Feb. 14, at 11:15 AM. Arrangements by T.M.
