Eleanor Leslie Richmond, loving  known as Betty, age 90, passed away peacefully July 3, 2024, due to congestive heart failure. She was born September 18, 1933, in Kingston, Jamaica to Cecil and Doris Escala. She met her love in Jamaica and married Dr. Denis Roland Richmond, in July of 1955, who preceded her in death in 2009. Betty loved to entertain her family and friends, and travel the world with Roland. She spent her early years living in Jamaica and ventured to London to finish her schooling at St. Godric's College. For many years Betty worked tirelessly behind the scenes with Roland, building a very successful medical practice in Kingston, Jamaica and then again, starting over, in Broward County, Florida. Her care for family and close friends always shone through even in the most difficult times. Betty's love for entertaining was at its peak in Jamaica, but even later in life having a few friends and family over to the house brought her the greatest joy. Betty is survived by her three children Brian (Adriana) Richmond, Andrew (Margaret) Richmond and Anne Richmond; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Please join us celebrating her life Thursday morning July 11, 2024, between 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 n at T.M.
