It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Elisa Rose Giordano.
She touched so many hearts in her 100 years of life. She will always be remembered for living life by smiling every day no matter what was thrown at her. She had an unconditional loving way of allowing us to feel better by just being in her presence and reflecting on the positive, never the negative.
Her wit, humor, and her saintly ways will be forever missed but will live through all of us. She had six children, all boys with her husband Michael who predeceased her. She is also predeceased by her Brother Giuseppe Vitiello (Uncle Joe) and sister Lucia Vitiello (Aunt Lucille).
In her sixties, she attended college for the first time at Fordham University and received a 4.0 GPA. At age 72 she completed her first NYC marathon and went on to complete a total of 7 NYC marathons. She had 4 poems published with her last poem being published at 98 years old. We were all so blessed and grateful to have experienced life with this most gentle, beautiful, precious person and to have her for so long in our lives. She is survived by her six sons, Christopher, Michael, Enrico, Greg, Paul, and Andrew. Along with her 11 grandchildren.
Please join us in remembering her at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home.
