Elizabeth Mae Krumenaker (nee Wargo), 94, of Sunrise, Florida passed peacefully on January 22, 2025 in HCA Florida Westside Hospital. Elizabeth “Betty” was  born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1930, one of 11 children of Peter  and Pauline Wargo. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School and also a  licensed cosmetologist for over 70 years. Throughout her long life, Betty was active in her East McKeesport community, involved in various women's auxiliary groups and fundraising efforts. Betty was active in St. Robert Bellarmine Church  and School as a Christian Mother and volunteered in the cafeteria. She also  volunteered her time as a poll worker and Judge of Elections in North Versailles Township. While living in South Carolina, she volunteered her time with the local Hospice organization. She was a member of the Women's Guild at St. Gregory's in Plantation, Florida and was very active in the Sunrise Senior Center. She was an avid bowler and never passed up a chance to play bingo or 'scavenge for treasures' at the local thrift store or garage sale. Friends and family often referred to her as the “ultimate gypsy” embarking on adventures all over the world. She was actively engaged and very independent, even taking Zumba and Yoga classes regularly. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and proud great-grandmother who fully embraced life. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives were touched by her. She is survived by her four children, William L. Krumenaker Jr. (Cindy), Diane Cangioli (Jack Berkoben), Daniel L. Krumenaker (Heather) and Kathleen Bergeron (Ray); her grandchildren Angela M. Kaja (Thomas), Christopher P. Cangioli (Melissa), Craig S. Cangioli (Pamela), Joshua W. Bergeron; her great-grandchildren Kate and Mary Kaja, Talia, Kainen, Kiara and Ariana Cangioli, Cody James Bergeron. She is also survived by her brother Charles "Willie" Wargo, sister Norma Jean Dunlay and sister-in-law Maryann Wargo. She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Krumenaker Sr., her brothers Peter Wargo and Robert Wargo and her sisters Paula Gardner, Mary Pazur, Ann O’Brien, Margaret Endress, Helen Kerston and Irene Hernishin. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Alexandra E. Bergeron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.  Interment will take place in Lilly, Pennsylvania where a Celebration of Life  will be held in her honor at a future date.
