Elizabeth J Stultz, also known as Betty, was born on April 5, 1920, to John Walter Peterkins and Mary Catherine (O’Malley) Peterkins in New York. She was one of ten children, having five sisters and four brothers. She spent her early years living in New York, where she met Gene Stultz, a very talented musician, teacher and counselor. They married on November 24, 1940. Their first three children, Thomas Eugene, Elizabeth Ann and Marilyn Diane, were born in New York. After a very cold and snowy winter, the couple decided to move to Florida, where William Walter, Robert Clarence and Ronald James were born.
Betty was blessed with a beautiful family, having six children, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and picking out a special gift for each of them for Christmas. Spending time with her family brought great joy to her. She was a devoted family member whose spirit of goodness and generosity radiated love and inspired all of us.
Bingo was a favorite activity for Betty, which she played weekly. She had many friends and enjoyed her weekly games with them. She was a woman of integrity and strength and had an invariably positive attitude. She had a very sharp memory and a great sense of humor. Betty had a very strong faith and she loved the Lord.
Betty is survived by her children, Tom Stultz of Conyers Ga, Marilyn Octaviano (husband Ray) of Miami FL and Ron Stultz (wife Phyllis) of Sunrise FL, fifteen beautiful grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in life by her husband of fifty-seven years and three of her children, Betty Anne DeVivo and Bob and Bill Stultz.
