Elizabeth B. Zarnowski "Betty" 90, of Plantation, Florida passed away April 9, 2017, Palm Sunday, after a brief illness. She was embraced by the love from family and friends at her side. She worked for many years as an LPN at Miami Heart Institute. She was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church where she sang in the church choir for many years. She loved and was devoted to God, her Church, her family and her friends. She enjoyed, traveling the world, gardening and working in her yard. Mrs. Zarnowski was originally from West Haven, Connecticut and moved to Plantation, Florida in 1971 where she resided continuously until her passing. During World War II she worked at Armstrong Rubber Corporation, West Haven, Connecticut, on an assembly line, producing life rafts in support of the U.S. War effort. She is survived by her sons Michael Zarnowski, Big Pine Key, Florida, James A. (Patricia) Zarnowski, Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Scott Zarnowski and three grandchildren; Ryan J., Shawn J., and Alexis A. Zarnowski, all of Peachtree Corners, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Broderson, her father, Anthony Broderson, both of West Haven, Connecticut, her ex -husband Alfred Joseph (Joe) Zarnowski, Wilton Manors, Florida, son Daniel J. Zarnowski, Winter Park, Florida and her sister Janet Morann Whitmore of Coconut Creek, Florida. She was a longtime Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat fan. Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2017 from 8:30 AM-9:30 AM at the T.M. Ralph funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In her memory donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements by T.M.
