Ellen Vivian Henderson

Ellen Vivian Henderson died on November 16, 2017 at home after a lengthy illness.Born in Brownsville, PA in 1923, she enjoyed a long career in education from elementary schools to college level before retiring and moving to Plantation in December 1989. Until the most recent years she was active in several community organizations including the Plantation Women's Club and the Plantation Library where she not only was a member of the Friends of the Library but served for many years on the Board of Directors.She is preceded in death by her husband Harold William (Will) Henderson. She is survived by her daughter Marjorie; son William and daughter in law Myong; grandson Harold W. II; and daughter Sharon.A private interment is at the request of the deceased. She has requested that contributions be made in her memory to the Plantation Library or the Plantation Women's Club.
