Esther Eugenia Bechara-Glynn

February 18, 1989 — April 10, 2018

Esther Eugenia was born in Cartagena, Colombia to parents, Esther Maria and Moises Eduardo Bechara. She came to the United States with her family as a young girl and quickly acclimated to life in South Florida.                 Esther had a lifelong love of learning.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida Gulf Coast University, and went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Foreign Language Education. In college, she joined the sorority SIA (Sigma Iota Alpha) and participated in events and fun times with her sisterhood.  She also met and fell in love with John Gabriel Glynn. Together they travelled all around Europe, enjoying their shared love of cultures and cities. They were married in Fort Lauderdale on a beautiful Cinco de Mayo day in 2013.  The Glynn’s are blessed with two beautiful children, Sofia Isabel (age 4) and Oliver Eduardo (age 2).                 Esther loved her children very much and had a special relationship with each of them. She referred to them often as two little pieces of her heart.  Deep down, she was always a family girl and found great fulfillment and personal growth as a wife and mother.  She loved her work as a first and third grade school teacher in the South Florida and Orlando school systems.  She also enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, and having get-togethers, playdates and birthday parties with her close friends and family.                 Esther leaves behind her loving husband John, her little girl Sofia, her baby boy Oliver, her parents Esther Maria and Moises, sister Ivonne, her aunts, uncles, extended family and her community of sorority sisters, close friends and colleagues.                 The family would like to extend a very special Thank You and Acknowledgement of heartfelt appreciation and love to Esther’s aunt, Rosario Bechara, affectionately known as Tia Charo, for taking such tireless and loving care of Esther during the entire length of her illness. What a beautiful and noble gift she gave her beloved niece.                 Esther Bechara-Glynn’s life was brief, but impactful. She was a loving daughter and sister, a devoted wife and mother, a kind and generous friend and teacher.  She touched the hearts of those of us who got to know her gentle sweetness. We’ll miss her face, her voice, her smile.  She will be remembered with love and affection always.  May she rest in eternal peace.
