Evelyn Darquea Polit was born in Quito, Ecuador on August 2, 1952. Her parents were Ernesto Darquea Endara and Maruja Andrade de Darquea. Evelyn studied at the American School of Quito and also at the Cardenal Spellman School, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree. She also studied two years at the Catholic University of Quito specializing in Languages. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for several years at the United States Embassy in Quito, Ecuador within the area formerly called Punto IV. 

She married Leonardo R. Polit on August 5, 1978 and they had three daughters: Cristina, Elisa and Valeria. 

Evelyn always enjoyed her trips abroad. She visited several countries in Europe & Asia, she loved her visit to Egypt, and in one of the last trips to Turkey she visited Istanbul and the ruins of Ephesus. 

She loved attending classical music concerts and also listening to pieces by the most renowned musicians, his favorite being Antonio Vivaldi.

As a contribution to the community, she served for many years as a Volunteer at the SOLCA Cancer Hospital in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. 

She has gone to be with the Lord on September 20, 2024.

In her memory donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital


Evelyn Gloria Darquea de Polit nacio en Quito, Ecuador el 2 de Agosto de 1952. Sus Padres fueron Ernesto Darquea Endara y Maruja Andrade de Darquea. Evelyn estudio en el Colegio Americano de Quito y tambien en el Colegio Cardenal Spellman , en donde se graduo de Bachiller. Estudio ademas dos años en la Universidad Catolica de Quito especializandose en Idiomas. Fue Asistente Administrativa por varios años en la Embajada Estados en Quito, Ecuador dentro del area antes llamada Punto IV. 

Se caso en Agosto 5 de 1978 con Leonardo R. Polit y tuvieron tres hijas: Cristina , Elisa y Valeria. 

Evelyn siempre disfruto de viajes al exterior. Visito varios paises de Europa, Asia,estuvo en Egipto ,y uno de los ultimos viajes fue a Turquia donde visito Estanbul y las ruinas de Efeso. 

Le encantaba asistir a conciertos de Musica Clasica y tambien escuchar piezas de los musicos mas renombrados siendo su favorito Antonio Vivaldi.

Como contribucion a la comunidad, presto sus servicios por muchos años como Voluntaria en el Hospital de Cancer de SOLCA en la ciudad de Guayaquil, Ecuador. 

Paso al seno del Señor el 20 de Septiembre de 2024.
