Markesteyn, Frederick, age 84 of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020. He was born in Ogden, Utah and grew up in Savannah, Georgia. He then relocated his family to Fort Lauderdale. Freddie (Pa) was a beloved family man who is survived by his wife Joan of 63 years; his brother Willie; his 3 children, Michael, Toni (John), Terri (Tommy - preceded in death). He also is survived by his six grandchildren, Pamela (Ryan), John (Kate), Klinton, Kelby (Stephanie), Jade, and Christine. And 8 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Bryson, Clayton, Harper, Henry, Cayla, Jalen, and April; and many nieces and nephews. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed fishing and spending time in Chokoloskee. He loved lobstering in the keys with his family and friends, car racing, and building anything you needed. One of the many things Pa loved was his tractor riding with his great-grandchildren. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. A service will be offered by Fr. Hoyer at 6:30 PM. Interment will be at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery with family only.
