Gary P. Trezza of Plantation, FL, entered into eternal rest on August 15, 2022, after a brief illness.
He was born in Stamford, CT, on July 3, 1956 to the late Samuel and Jerri (nee Lupinacci) Trezza.
Since the time Gary was a child, he was fascinated by anything electronic. He could take apart a radio at the age of three, and put it back together again.
Gary graduated from Westhill High School with high honors in 1974. He then began his full-time career with Radio Shack.
One of Gary’s passions was his antique Mason and Hamlin grand piano, which he recently restored. Gary was a fine pianist, and a great lover of music. His favorite genres being jazz, English rock, 40’s and 50’s classics.
After a long career with Radio Shack, Gary became the proprietor of the family business, Wagon Wheel Liquors, in N. Stamford, CT. It was originally opened by his maternal grandfather in the 1950’s. Gary transformed it from a “mom and pop” shop, to an elegant, large high-end wine and spirits shop, known as one of the finest stores in Fairfield County.
In 2008, Gary wanted to fulfill his lifelong dream of moving to Southeast Florida. Wagon Wheels was sold, and he continued onto his new journey. Gary, and his partner, Wynder, traveled extensively through Europe, South America, and the United States-Gary was a true patriot.
After moving to Southeast Florida, they purchased the franchise “Any Lab Test Now”, offering full blood testing for people without medical insurance at highly discounted rates, and in most cases, no prescription is required. They also handle COVID, DNA testing and many more services. Their business became a huge success and a second location was purchased in Davie, Florida.
Last year, when Gary turned 65, he gifted himself the car of his dreams, a BMW M3 in “Man of Isle Green” with an orange interior, surely a sight to behold. In the beginning of 2022, he was ready to purchase the home of his dreams-his forever home.
Gary invited his sister, Lori, to live with him and his partner after their mom died in 2017. It was a “Three’s Company” situation that worked out well for all. They would carry on their tradition in the spacious and stunning new home. Unfortunately, at the time of their move, Gary entered the hospital and we are devastated he never had the opportunity to enjoy the new home.
Gary is survived by his beloved sister, Lori Ann Trezza of Plantation, FL; his partner, the love of his life of 21 years, Wynder Castaneda, and his precious fur babies, Gia and Tyler.
