George E. Ahern

George E. Ahern,98, of Weston, Florida, passed away January 25, 2023.

George was born to John and Maria Olena Ahern June 21, 1924 in Brighton, MA.  He served in the US Army 112^th Cavalry Regiment during WWII. 

He was a court reporter for the Federal Court system in Miami, FL for over 40 years. George enjoyed painting landscapes, cooking, and his large family of 12 children, 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Aside from his hobbies, George dedicated his free time to Holy Family Catholic Church in North Miami, volunteering for any and everything possible.

George is survived by his wife of 74 years, Olive; 11 children, Christine, John, Claire, Jane, Berith, William, Larry, David, Robert, Michael and Stacy.  George has joined his namesake, AKA Chip, in Heaven. 

The Ahern family will host a funeral Mass, Tuesday, January 31st,10:30am at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1301 SW 136th Ave, Davie, FL  33325
