Gina Legra

Gina Marie Legra was born on December 22, 1976 in Brooklyn, NY and has lived in Broward County for most of her life and a Tamarac resident for the past 23 years. She passed away to be with the Lord on September 30th, 2024 while out on her evening jog at the Tamarac sports complex. Gina was loved by everyone she met. A beloved and amazing wife for 24 years, perfect mother, cherished daughter, wonderful sister, and a great friend. Gina loved God first and foremost, her husband, her daughters and family so much. She always lit up every room she walked into with her big beautiful bright smile. Gina had a beautiful voice as she sang on the Churches praise team over the years. She cared for so many children through the AWANA program she directed for many years. She was an amazing and loving teacher that homeschooled her daughters into very smart wonderful young ladies. Gina enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, going to the beach, swimming, boating, walking and running at parks, and watching sports with her family and friends. Gina was young and had so much life ahead of her, but she made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will always be remembered for her kind and big heart, her realness and openness, her joy, love for children, her contagious enthusiasm, hard work, sense of humor and laughter, and her passion for God and Jesus. Gina is now in Heaven with a huge smile loving on her other 2 heavenly children that she missed and longed for so much.
