It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Helena Belusic Salvaggio. Helena departed this life peacefully on August 18, 2024, in her home in Weston, Florida, after a courageous four-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) She was born on May 27, 1963 , she dedicated herself to her family and her Catholic faith.
Helena was an active member of her church, volunteering at St. Bonaventure where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Emmaus sister, and catechist. Her commitment to spreading the word of God also included participating in fundraising efforts for the construction of St. Bonaventure’s church.
Family was central to Helena’s life. She cherished the memories created during family vacations, particularly at Vanderbilt Beach in Naples, where she enjoyed long days on the sand and the tranquility of captivating sunsets. Additionally, she delighted in Caribbean cruises and visiting her son, Dante, in Colorado.
Helena's strong connection with God and the support of the Catholic community provided her with peace throughout her struggle with ALS.
She is preceded in death by her father, Antonio Belusic. Helena is survived by her mother, Elisa Belusic of Hialeah, FL; her husband, John Salvaggio; and her two sons, Dante and Paul, who reside in Weston, FL. She is also remembered by her sister, Estela Belusic Azevedo (Carlos) of Pembroke Pines, FL, and her brothers, Marco Belusic (Marie) of Sun City, FL, and Peter Belusic (Liza) of Warwick, Pennsylvania, along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Helena had a successful career as a Private Banking Officer at Northern Trust Bank in Coral Gables and held a BS in Marketing from Florida International University. Her community involvement was extensive, reflecting her nurturing spirit and desire to give back.

Arrangements have been entrusted to T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home. Helena will be remembered fondly for her unwavering faith, love for family, and the countless lives she touched.
