Howard Lee Salzman, aged 88, passed away on November 29, 2021 from complications due to dementia. Funeral services will be held at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home, 371 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL 33325 on Wednesday morning, December 8^th, starting with visitation with the family at 10 AM and service at 11 AM followed by a private interment service with the family at South Florida National Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Jean Salzman.

He is survived by his two siblings, Clara Ryder (Delphi, IN) and Donald Salzman (Kankakee, IL). He is also survived by his three sons:  Terrence Salzman and his wife Thekla, their three sons, Taylor, Logan and, Connor (Weston, FL); Scott Salzman and his wife Michelle, their two children Jenna and Ian (Fort Worth, TX); and Thomas Salzman and his wife Cindy (Coral Springs, FL) and their child Camilla and her husband Vito Culicchia and Howard's great grandchild Vito Jaxsom.

Howard was born November 16, 1933 to Albert and Faye Salzman and grew up on the family farm in Kankakee, Illinois. He served four years in the Army before attending University of Illinois and graduating with his degree in Civil Engineering. He married Theresa Jean Bodeck August 2, 1958, and they started their family in Belleville, Illinois before moving to South Florida in 1978. In 2001, he became the full-time caregiver of his wife Theresa for 11 years after she had a stroke which left her unable to walk or speak. 

Howard was active in his church and all will greatly miss him. His family and friends know that he has passed on to his heavenly resting place and is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Howard’s name to Hope Outreach http://www.hopeoutreachfl.org/
