Ian William Shaw

Ian William Shaw, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed unexpectedly on November 11, 2024, in Plantation, Florida. Born on May 9, 1971, in Newry, Northern Ireland, Ian brought joy and laughs to anyone around him throughout his life.

Ian was known for his unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and career. His passion for traveling around the world, combined with his desire to be outdoors, whether on the water or in the woods, highlighted his adventurous spirit. His personality was marked by his kindness, generosity, and strong sense of humor. He had a remarkable ability to protect those he loved and was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. An essence of loyalty surrounded him, which endeared him to friends and family alike.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kelly and their two adoring sons, Timothy and Troy. Ian is also lovingly remembered by his large extended family, including siblings, in-laws, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. They all held a very special place in his heart. Ian was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Bobby Shaw.

Visitation will take place on November 19, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 PM, both at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317.

As family and friends come together to honor Ian's life, they will celebrate the beautiful legacy he leaves behind—a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure that will live in their hearts. He will be remembered and loved, always and forever.
