Jack Damonte, 84, of Plantation, Florida passed away peacefully on January 10, 2019. He was born on June 10, 1934 in Hackensack NJ to the parents of Joseph and Lillian (Fischkelta) Damonte. Jack proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 on the USS Rohn. Survived by his wife Patricia (Bruce) of 60 years and three children Lia (Damonte) Vanella, Jackie (Damonte) Walsh (Thomas), Christopher Damonte and his faithful English Bulldog Zeena. Loving grandchildren Alexandra, Courtney, Collin, Jake, and Ryan. Jack is survived by his brother Anthony Damonte (Beverly) and preceded in death by his brother Joseph Damonte (Theresa). Nieces Angel (Scott) Bahr and JoAnne (Don) Griffin. He loved his family, country and his abundance of friends. For those who had the privilege of knowing him, their lives will forever be enriched and his stories will forever be remembered. Viewing will be held at TM Ralph Funeral Home, 7001 NW 4th Street, Plantation, FL 33317 on Monday January 14, 2019 4 pm-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great 200 N. University Drive, Plantation, FL 33324 on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 am, followed by a private burial service at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida 33449
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the home of Jackie and Tom Walsh, 731 NW 101 Terrace, Plantation, FL 33324
