Jacqueline Johns (Muriel Jacqueline Germaine Landry), 96, of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed while sleeping early morning July 31st and is survived by her three children, Margery Lee (Darling); Janet (Lane); and Robert Walter Johns. There will be a service held at The First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale located at 401 SE 15th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 at 10 AM on Friday, August 24th. August 24th would have marked Jackie’s 97th birthday. Following this, there will be a service at 1:30 PM at the South Florida VA National Cemetery, located at 6501 SR 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449, where she will be placed next to her beloved husband Walter Thomas Johns, whom we lost in April of 2010. Jackie was the last surviving child of five, and her kind, loving, and peaceful soul will be profoundly missed by all those lucky enough to have known her. Her life was full and rewarding. She served with the Office of Strategic Service during WWII, helping to ascertain Stalin’s post-war plans, and was an accomplished artist and traveler and a treasured wife, mother, daughter and sister.
