Plantation

In loving memory of Jaqulyn Eagle Goins, born Jaqulyn Dawn Hammons in Pineville, Kentucky in July of 1934. Jackie passed away peacefully in the comfort of home in Plantation, Florida April 26th, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Jackie was the pillar of support for her loved ones. After courageously battling dementia, her life remains a testament to resilience, kindness, and unwavering love. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be cherished by all who knew her. Although dementia dimmed her memories, it could never diminish her gentle spirit and the love she had for those around her.

Jackie is the dearly loved sister of Michalle Cheryl McConnell, of Jacksonville Florida. She is the devoted mother of her son Gary (Eagle) of Boca Raton, two loving daughters Carla (Eagle) of Miramar and Robin (Eagle-Massey) of Plantation. She is also survived by two granddaughters whom she adored and helped raise, Jessica (Henric) and Amber (Massey) both of Plantation, Florida, along with two great grandchildren Damien (Henric) and Aiden (Henric).

In addition to acknowledging the family’s profound loss, it’s important to recognize the exceptional dedication and love shown by each of them in caring for Jackie during her brave battle with dementia. Together, their selflessness made a profound difference in Jackie’s life, providing support, comfort, and constant companionship during challenging times. In their role as in-home caregivers, they became a source of strength and inspiration by demonstrating the importance of family and the power of love. Jackie passed away with the pride of knowing that they inherited her emotional strength, compassionate spirit, extraordinary devotion to family, kindness and unwavering love.

The family will hold a private funeral service for Jackie at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, free from the burdens of her illness, and embraced by the comforting arms of the friends and family who preceded her.
