James "Buddy" Erwin Peeples, III

Peeples, James “Buddy” Erwin, III passed away at his home on November 13, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Born July 17, 1935 in Orlando and raised in Tampa, Florida, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea during the War.  Following his service, he moved to south Florida where he worked in the finance business, eventually opening his own company, PM Finance.  Always an athlete, he enjoyed basketball, scuba diving, boating, spearfishing and golfing.  Those who knew him were always delighted to hear his latest jokes.  He is predeceased by his late wife, Pauline “Polly” Peeples, with whom he loved to dance, and his parents, Marian and James Peeples.  He is survived by his sister, Carole Brooks, his children Jennifer Grant and James Peeples IV, stepchildren Roseanne Eckert (Mark) and Francis Ziaukas, grandchildren Bailey Zale, Jadyn Grant, and Jared Eckert, his nieces Clair Harpe (Patrick), Beth Busbee (Jeff), and Donna Buckingham (JoAnn), and many friends. Visitation will begin at 10 am on Tuesday, Nov. 21 followed by a service at 10:45 am at the T.M.
