James Coker Cox, Jr., a resident of Plantation, Florida, since 1959, went to be with his Savior, Saturday, October 24,2020, and blessed to have his family's support during his last days.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Martin Cox; two sons, James Martin Cox, Craig Coker Cox and his wife Margaret Cox; three daughters, Kristi Ann Rogan and her husband Thomas Rogan, Wendy Cox Otowchits and husband Paul Otowchits, and Shannon Cox Slack and husband Tony Slack; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, who fondly called him "Papa Jimmy".
Jimmy moved from South Carolina to Florida pursuing his career with Titleist golf. He loved working in the golf business and was tremendously successful bringing the name "Titleist" to the state of Florida.
His first and foremost passion was worshipping our Lord and Savior. Jimmy also loved South Carolina beaches, Shirley's cooking and the beloved University of South Carolina "Gamecocks".
Our dad was so blessed to have his family’s support during his last days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his loving memory to "Wounded Warrior Project" Wounded Warrior Website
