Janet Helen Mauer

Janet Helen Mauer passed away October 4, 2017.  She was born  May 9, 1933 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Harry and Fay Bell. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Michael "Mike" and their only daughter Lisa Mauer of Deerfield Beach, FL. She was a loving wife and Turbo Mom. In 1958 she moved to Miami to make a better life for herself. Janet worked as a professional secretary for many years in the county school systems, first in Dade and then in Broward at Tropical Elementary. She loved people and had a love of life that she shared with countless friends who shall miss her dearly.  At the age of 55 she fought and won a tough battle against ovarian cancer. She was spunky! Visitation will be Sunday at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, Fl 33325. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at St .David Catholic Church at 12 Noon.
