Janie, 38, passed away on June 5th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Her memorial will be held at West Broward Church of Christ on Saturday, June 9th at 9am.
Janie Irene Duarte was born in Miami, Florida on April 18, 1980. She married Nicolas Duarte on December 28th, 2003. Shortly after, Nicolas and Janie adopted Anika Gomez. As a mother of three, family was of upmost importance to her. At work, she always strived to help people, and focused on making the world a better place. She is survived by her loving husband: Nicolas, her three beautiful and intelligent girls: Anika, Harley and Arabella, her parents: Bill and Vera, her siblings: Ann, Will, Didi, and Katrina, and Nicolas’ parents: Nick and Kyna.
