Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 21, 1928. She graduated from Washington Irving High School and excelled in her teens as a concert pianist. Shortly after World War II she married her sweetheart, Vincenzo James (Jimmy) Gallo, who pre• deceased her in 2004. They moved to Palisades Park where they raised their three children. After Jimmy’s retirement, they moved to Parkland, FL and ultimately to Tamarac, FL. Jean worked as a seamstress at Schrader Sports. Jean was also active in her community and served as President of her condominium association at Kings Point Weldon Building J. Jean is survived by her three children, Robert James Gallo, M.D. and his wife Theresa, of Washington Township, NJ; Steven Gallo and his wife Barbara, of Walker, LA, and Valorie Gallo-Quaregna and her husband Joseph, of Sunrise, FL. As the matriarch of the Gallo Family, she leaves behind a legacy of love spanning four generations, with 21 grandchildren and 27 great• grandchildren. To the day that she left us, she remembered all of their birthdays and anniversaries. Funeral arrangements are being handled by TM Ralph Plantation Funeral Home in Plantation, FL. The family will receive freinds on Wednesday from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM . A Mass of the Angels will be celebrated for her on Thursday 11:00 AM at All Saints Church in Sunrise, FL.
