Jeannette Horne (nee Marks) was the second child of Lucy Mildred and Lionel Marks. She was born on April 29th, 1940 in Georgetown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and attended Emmanuel High School. Jeannette married Winston Horne and they lived in St. Lucia briefly, before relocating to New York where her husband passed away. As a child, Jeannette was always the mischievous one. As an adult, she was the most generous of all her siblings - she would give you her heart if she could. She adored all of her nieces, nephews and the new generation of great nieces and nephews. After her Mom died, Jeannette joined Joey in Florida in 1994. She worked as a Home Health Aide, taking care of the elderly – a job she truly loved and was good at. Her patients thought highly of her. In 2013 Jeannette was moved to Rebecca Home, an Assisted Living Facility where she was so very happy that her famous quote was “this is the best place.” The State of Florida inspector even wrote it in their report. She was the life of the home even continuing as though she was still at work, helping those who were bed bound. Rebecca, the Administrator of the facility gave Jeannette five of the most joyous years of her life. Sadly, Jeannette walked into the doctor’s office on May 23rd and declined after that in the hospital. Jeannette is survived by a brother - Ramon, sisters - Maureen and Joann/Joey, nieces - Shelley and Nicole, nephews - David, Fabian, Gerry, Kyran and Stephen, Uncle Victor, many great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
