Jeffrey Alan Smith was born in Watertown, Minnesota to Bonnie Lou Schmidt and Harold Smith, Jeff’s love of travel and adventure informed much of his life. He was most at home in the outdoors as a boy from Minnesota to his later years hiking, snowmobiling, and dirt-biking in the Teton mountains. His love of travel inspired his 30-year career as a pilot, which was his childhood dream, making his first flight at 16. Jeff made many memories exploring countless cities in Europe and South America with his beloved wife and soul mate, Ceci, who he met in 1996 and later married. There was little remaining on their bucket list together. The most important complement to their lives was their son Colin who brought so much joy and fulfillment. Jeff will forever be the soul of their family.

 

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife Ceci and son Colin; brother- and sister-in-law Kevin and Kathy Smith; sister-in-law Yvette and Giro Pezzella; brother-in-law Alex Aguera as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by daughter Briana and brother Brian, mother Bonnie Lou and Father Harold.

 

He was a devoted and loving husband to Ceci for 25 years, and father to Colin for 14 years. He will be dearly missed and remembered by the countless friends and family who loved him and were inspired by his life, his wit, and his esteemed character.
