Joan Therese Bromante

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother Joan Therese Bromante.

 Joan Therese Bromante passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 86 in Plantation, Florida. Born on July 27th, 1937, she lived a full life marked by dedication to her family, friends, and her Catholic faith.

 She attended and received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland, a Masters degree in Health for the University of Buffalo. 

 While attending college at Cortland she met Anthony Bromante (a match made in heaven) and were married in 1960. Their marriage lasted until his untimely death in 1999. 

 After retiring from teaching in 2016 her life revolved around the love and dedication she had for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

 Her favorite pastime was playing cards with her friends and was always up for a game of canasta or Mahjong. 

 She had a deep and abiding faith in God and the Catholic Church, which carried her through many adversities. She was a daily communicant at holy mass and prayed the rosary daily requesting many intercessions for her family and friends. 

 She leaves behind a legacy of courage, fortitude, and service touching the lives of many.

 Joanie will always be remembered for her spirited personality, tenacity, and selfless attitude toward others. 

She is survived by Scott (wife Christina), Marc, and Dean (Kristi) her grand children and great grandchildren all of Broward County and her sister Linda Fairben of Lake Grove, New York. She is also survived by her dear companion, Frank Lojocano, of 20 years.
