Jodi Cowart, a dedicated servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jodi moved to Florida from New York in 1980. She quickly found her niche helping people as a probation officer. She earned a master's degree in Psychology and went on to become a licensed mental health counselor, where she practiced for 30 years helping people. She also shared her wisdom and knowledge in several areas of practice: as a co-author and sitting as an advisory board member on the Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse. Before becoming ill, Jodi volunteered much of her time feeding the homeless and providing clothing to people in need at LifeNet4Families in Lauderhill. Jodi will always be remembered as a true professional, a loving wife, mother, excited grandmother, aunt, great aunt, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, sister and loving daughter. She will be sorely missed but always remembered for her love of humanity and unselfishness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifeNet4Families in Lauderhill or the Hope Outreach Center in Davie. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
