John P. Dyer, Sr. “Jack”
It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Dyer announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the age of 77 years. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Pat, and his sons Jack, Jr. (Toni) of Durham, NC and Bob of Sunrise, FL. Jack was preceded in death by his precious son, Scott (Paula). Jack will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, Jim Dyer (Barbara) of North Franklin, CT; Cathy Lovett (John) of Hollywood, FL; Bob Dyer of North Dartmouth, MA; Mary Igo of Burlington, MA and Christine Rider (John) of North Dartmouth, MA; his sister-in-law, Peggy Schwalen of Stuart, FL; many special nieces and nephews who were adored by Jack, and numerous dear friends.
Jack lived life to its fullest. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had a deep love for his God, his country, and he was an ardent supporter of the military and first responders. He enjoyed fishing, going to the mountains, vegetable gardening, vintage trucks and woodworking. You were truly blessed if you were the recipient of anything handmade by Jack with the sticker on the back that read, “Rustic Scrap Art by Jack”. He was a creative and talented man, but his greatest talents were used to make others happy. He will be missed by so many who loved him.
