John A. Gonzalez

John A Gonzalez 97, passed away November 24 2018 John was born in Havana Cuba on Oct 15 1921. He lived there with his family till 1960 when he left Cuba for a better life for his family due to the changing landscape of the Castro Communist regime. When arriving in the United States John was a Civil Engineer who worked for Exxon Mobil for most of his career spanning 40 years. John and his late wife Rosa M Gonzalez Inclan lived in both New York and Massachusetts before moving to South Florida where they retired. John is survived by his 6 children, daughters Rosa and husband Scott Barker of Gray Maine, Gloria and husband Kevin Kelleher of Plymouth Maine, Maria and husband Dave Jensen of Watsonville California, Alina and husband Dan Mushero of Hamden Maine, Cathy and husband Jerry LoRousso of Fort Lauderdale and son John Gonzalez Jr and wife Valerie of Salisbury NH.  And his sister in law Tia Amelia Alonso from Cincinnati Ohio, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by grandson Jason Guzofski and Keith Jenson. Visiting hours will be 10 to 11 am at T M Ralph Plantation Funeral Home with Funeral Mass following at 12 Noon at All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise FL with private ceremony at Our Lady Queen of Heaven. We are eternally grateful for our father and mother for bringing us to the freedom of this country and making us who we are today.
