Joseph F. Borkowski passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the age of 93, from natural causes at Broward Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Joseph was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Joseph J. and Stella (Brezinski) Borkowski. He was raised in the Wilkes-Barre area. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Army from 1946-1947. On July 10, 1948 he married Florence (Mociun) to whom he was married for 68 years. Florence passed away in 2016. Joseph spend his career involved in the printing of business forms, the majority of the time as a plant manager for Burroughs Corporation in Connecticut, and Transkrit Corporation in Miami, Florida. He subsequently opened his own business, JFB Business Forms, which he ran together with his wife Florence from his home in Weston, Florida. Joseph was a talented baseball player in his youth, and enjoyed playing tennis and golf as an adult, and was a fan of New England and Miami sports teams. Joseph was involved with many charitable organizations while living in Ellington, Connecticut and was a long time parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Davie, Florida. Joseph loved to travel with his wife to different areas of Florida, especially Disney World. He enjoyed trips to Michigan to visit his son and grandchildren, and always looked forward to their trips to his home. Joseph is survived by his grandchildren Katarzyna, Konrad and Monika Borkowski, and his daughter in law Jean Borkowski, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph. Joseph's family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Joseph’s name to Meals on Wheels, South Florida. Funeral services and burial in Pennsylvania will be private, for the family, and will occur at a future date.
