Joseph Cortese

Joseph (Joe) Cortese, 65, of Plantation, FL. passed away peacefully at home November 4, 2017. Joe was born in Boston MA on May 1, 1952 to Albert and Helena Cortese. Joe was a proud Bostonian where was born and raised in the city of Boston.  Joe was the former tribal business relations manager for the Seminole Gaming Administration.   Survived by his loving husband of 23 years Gerald Burakoff of Plantation Fl.  He leaves his brothers Albert of Boston MA and Donald and his wife Diane of Burlington MA and his sister, the late Helene Cortese.  Loving father of Richard J Cortese and his wife Jessica of Malden MA, step father to Joseph Burakoff of Franklin MA and Alex Burakoff of Brockton MA. Devoted and proud grandfather of Richard Cortese Jr and Tyler Cortese of Malden MA.  He is also survived by a niece an aunt and many cousins.  Joe was loved by all and will be forever missed and never forgotten.  If desired and in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe's memory to St. Benedict's Episcopal Church A Mass of Celebration will be held at St. Benedict's Episcopal Church, 7801 NW 5th Street, Plantation, FL 33324 on Saturday November 11th, at 1:00 PM.
