Joseph “Joe” Cesare Santoro, 56, peacefully passed away on November 9, 2021, at 9:30 am after a courageous battle with Covid-19, surrounded by his family who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest and finding humor in the most mundane life circumstances. Joseph was born on May 25, 1965, in Hollywood, Florida. He graduated from the University of Miami, where he played football. Go Canes! As a native Floridian he spent most of his life in the Plantation/Fort Lauderdale area. He served over 25 years as a paramedic/firefighter taking early retirement from the Boca Raton Fire Department to pursue his love of working in Florida Real Estate. Joe spent 30 plus years as a successful and well-respected Broker Associate living out his true passion in the Real Estate industry. Joe was an avid sports fan. He was tortured throughout his life being a tried-and-true Minnesota Vikings fan in the hopes they will one day win the super bowl. The Minnesota Vikings will have a hard time trying to replace such a devoted fan! Fortunately, he did win his fantasy league as a consolation. Recently Joe had the pleasure to help coach for the AYFL Plantation Wildcats 8u & 9u Football teams. This brought great joy to Joe to help coach and mentor his son, Joseph, and the other players in a sport he so loved. He was a lover of music since he was a teenager playing the guitar in his band. The highlight of their music career was playing at the Florida State fair. Those that knew him, often heard him say “we are getting the band back together!!“. He enjoyed sharing his love of music with his daughter, Mattia, by teaching her to play the guitar.
