Joseph H. Morales, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, in Plantation, Florida. He was born on August 10, 1937, in Rincon, Puerto Rico, and lived a life that was dedicated to family and public service.

Joe had a fulfilling career working as a mailman the US Post Office, a position he cherished deeply. His commitment to his job was evident in the joy he depicted while serving his community. Prior to his time at the Post Office, Joe proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS CORAL SEA CV-43 as an Aircraft Handling Officer. His responsibilities included crucial hangar deck operations, where he demonstrated exceptional skill in spotting, landing, and launching aircraft, as well as in managing emergencies involving crashes and fires.

Joe was known for his kind and loving demeanor. His welcoming nature put everyone at ease, and he was often the life of the gathering, known for his great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his wife, Lourdes B. Morales, and their large family, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Joe had a passion for walking and visiting stores, particularly electronic shops, where he enjoyed learning about new technology.

His hobbies included reading, indulging in delicious food—especially his favorite, bread and butter—and playing dominos with family and grandchildren. Joe was an avid traveler and delighted in conversations with those around him, showcasing his genuine interest in people.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment, most notably seen in his proudest accomplishments: his marriage of 60 years to Lourdes, along with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Lourdes B. Morales; son Rick Morales and his wife Stephanie, and their two sons, Nick and Tyler; daughter Teresa Bowman and her husband Mike; daughter Marisol Jerrels and her husband Brian, and their six children, Aj Masseo and his wife Victoria with daughters Caroline and Riley, Samara Grant and her husband Hayden with daughters Maisyn, Maivry, and Myles, Derek Masseo and his wife Rhegan with children Grady, Penelope, and Blakley, Hayley Jerrels and her fiancé Rigo Olvera with children Madi and Joeziah; son Jarrett and daughter Karley; daughter Christina Toth and her husband Tim with daughters Mia and Ava.

Visitation services will be held at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317, on August 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Following the visitation, a Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory The Great Catholic Church, situated at 200 N University Dr, Plantation, FL 33324, starting at 11:00 AM and concluding by 12:00 PM.

Joseph H. Morales will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his jovial spirit, and the countless lives he touched throughout his life. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
