Josephine Bonsignore passed through Heaven’s gate, into the waiting arms of The Lord, on February 25, 2023; she was 85 years old. Josephine was born on January 22, 1938, to Pietro and Caterina (Ingoglia) Campisi, in Brooklyn, New York. After Josephine graduated from John Adams High School in Ozone Park, NY, she went on to work as a secretary for an insurance company. In 1958, Josephine met Vincent S. Bonsignore, while visiting family in South Ozone Park, NY. The couple married on September 11, 1960, and went on to have three children, Maria, Catherine and Salvatore. In 1993, Josephine; and Vincent; retired to Davie FL, where she spent much of her time with her children and two grandsons. Josephine also enjoyed reading, visiting and dining with family and friends. One of her passions was animals. Josephine had fostered many dogs, in her home, throughout the years. For the last 12 years, Josephine had endured many health issues, however, she always pushed herself, through her numerous hospital and rehabilitation events. Her drive to get strong and return home to her family never faltered. She was always everyone’s “favorite patient” and greeted all with a smile and willingness to give 100% towards her recovery. She was a wonderful example of a strong, loving, caring, wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and trusted friend to all who knew her. Josephine is survived by her three children, Maria (Bonsignore) Grieco, her husband Ralph Grieco and two grandsons, Stephen, and Joseph Grieco; Catherine Bonsignore DiDia, her husband Robert DiDia; and Salvatore Bonsignore and his wife Victoria Bonsignore. Josephine is predeceased by her parents, Pietro Campisi, and Caterina (Ingoglia) Campisi, sisters Louise (Campisi) Cowhig and Rose (Campisi) Veneziano, and her loving husband of 50 years, Vincent S. Bonsignore. Their love was like no other, and Josephine is finally reunited with her true love, Vincent, in Heaven, together forever. Josephine was loved by all who knew her and will be terribly missed. Donations in memory, of Josephine Bonsignore, may be directed to the following charities.
