Joshua Ives Hernandez

We are heartbroken to announce Joshua Ives Hernandez, 42, entered God’s hands on November 17, 2023. He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on March 23, 1981 to Elaine Jimenez and Joe Hernandez. Joshua passed away peacefully, surrounded by his immediate family.

Joshua was the most loving and devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He is survived by his mother Elaine Jimenez (stepfather German), his father Joe Hernandez, brothers JayDee Hernandez and Jonas Hernandez (wife Ashley and niece Adelynn), sister Jalexys Root (husband Shawn, nephews Brydan and Kholten) and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Feeling he wanted to be closer to his parents, Joshua journeyed across the country and moved to Florida from Las Vegas, where he lived for over 30 years. Joshua was truly a great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family that loves him dearly. He was a selfless man, and his passing has left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability to sacrifice, support, provide, forgive and love will be forever engrained in all he knew.

A remembrance service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on January 17, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 2401 Southwest Matheson Avenue in Palm City, Florida.
