Kay Bernice Sinclair

Kay Bernice Sinclair, 83, of Davie, FL passed away January 2, 2023. She is lovingly and dearly missed by her sons Mark Sinclair (Leisha Sinclair) of Merritt Island, FL, and Eric Sinclair (Stephanie Oberst) of Davie, FL and her 5 beautiful grandchildren Sydney, Reed, Sophie, Jamie, and Lucas.

Kay was born in Brockton, MA to Frances Hedin (Yourkewicz) and Warren Hedin, and is predeceased by her sister Janet Price and her brother Buddy Hedin.  Kay graduated from Brockton High School and was married to William Sinclair (deceased) for 55 years.  Kay has lived in South FL since 1969 where she has enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards with her friends every Wednesday and Thursday, and Sunday Night family dinners.  She loved going to the library and has been a lifelong avid reader.   She is family-famous for knitting her special Christmas stockings and baking her special stuffed shrimp dish.

Kay found beauty in the simple things in life from finding a penny “heads up” to seeing a ladybug, or a yellow flower.  Kay would do anything for family and her friends whom she loved unconditionally.  She never missed an opportunity to say “jag alskar dig” and “I love you more, no words, gotcha!”.  She made everyone she knew laugh with her awesome wit. 

Our family is ever so grateful to have known and loved our mother, nana, and aunty which people always wished they had. 

Kay lived for her family and left us surrounded by her loving family.
