Kenneth Neil Bobo (Ken) went to be with Jesus Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was 87. Ken was born and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he met and married his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth (Bettye) Weaver. Ken served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War and then went on to graduate from Georgia Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering. When he felt called to be in full-time church ministry, he and Bettye moved to New Orleans where he graduated from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a degree in Religious Education. He served as a Minister of Education at churches in Northport, Alabama, Atlanta, Georgia, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Salisbury, North Carolina. In 1969, Ken received his Certificate of Ordination. In 1999, Ken and Bettye moved to Sunrise, Fl to be close to family and to volunteer with the Baptist Home Mission Board in the South Florida . Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bobo. Ken is survived by his daughter Stephany Wolgast, granddaughters, Jennifer Julsonnet and Krista Reeves and great-grandchildren, Amanda Julsonnet, AJ Reeves, Daniel Julsonnet and Andrew Reeves. He is also survived by his brother, Jackson Bobo. Funeral services will be held at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM -3:00 PM, a funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM. Ken will be buried next to his late wife, Bettye, at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 12:45 PM In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church at Weston Building Fund 1420 Indian Trace, Weston, FL 33326.Funeral arrangements by T.
