Kenneth Richard Swable, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Plantation, FL, on Monday, September 9, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Harriet,nee Minota, for 34 years; loving father of Cinnamon Swable, and proud grandfather of Nemo Frawley, both of Eastham, MA; dear brother-in-law of Josie (Leon) Hensen of Pewaukee, WI; and fond uncle to niece Jamie (Tim) Mullin, great niece Emma Mullin and great nephew Austin Mullin, also of Pewaukee, WI.
Kenneth was born on November 11, 1942, and was the cherished son of the late Ken and the late Jacqueline Swable of Lorain, OH.
An alumnus of Fort Lauderdale High School, Kenneth served with the United States Navy and was especially proud of his service aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, a George Washington-class fleet ballistic missile submarine that was commissioned in 1961. During his career as a general contractor, he traveled across the United States, and spent many years working along the East Coast, South Florida and the Bahamas.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held in November in Plantation. In his honor, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org, or the American Lung Association, www.lung.org.
