He was born on January 1, 1970 and passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the age of 52, after a courageous 3 ½ year battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his wife and children, his father, Rodger (Mary) Peddy, mother, Christina (Michael) Fitzgibbon, sister, Shea, and brother, Riley. He shared his life with his devoted wife, Rosa, for over 31 years. Together, they have three beautiful children, Kevin Anthony, Christina Danielle, and Kyle Matthew. Kevin was a police officer for the City of Pembroke Pines and retired in 2020 after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a die-hard UM football fan and loved all sports especially when his children were playing. He coached Optimist football for over 20 years and stopped only to continue supporting his kids in other sports such as baseball, swimming, water polo, softball and lacrosse. His happiest moments were spent coaching and cheering on his kids. Kevin was quiet, easy-going, friendly, silly and funny. He had an incredible group of loyal and supportive friends whom he loved dearly and with whom he enjoyed spending time. Whatever he did, or wherever he went, Kevin was loved by all. Kevin’s love will remain in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 27, at 3:30 p.m. and will be live streamed in this page.
