Kristofor Brandon Shoop, Jr., affectionately known as KJ, was born on March 1, 2001, in Plantation, Florida. He went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who knew him.
KJ was a young man whose beautiful smile could light up any room. His caring nature made him a great friend to many and he was known for his honesty and unwavering loyalty.
Throughout his life, KJ developed a deep passion for sports. He showcased his athleticism by playing basketball, baseball, and football, and he generously gave his time to help coach youth basketball, inspiring the next generation of young athletes.
KJ was a graduate of Everglades High School in 2019. Following graduation KJ worked for the Hard Rock Stadium as a lead groundskeeper.
KJ loved his big brother Michaud and was so proud to become a big brother himself when Brandon was born. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including special times with his cousin Jared. He was innately a protector of his family and friends, if they had a need, he was there.
Many have said that he had a pastor‘s heart he was always smiling and waving at little children. This was also obvious in the time he spent with his grandmother Shirley, Papa Frank and Nana Linda.
KJ had a love for animals which was evident in his favorite childhood movies. This love made him a perfect fit for petsitting his friends’ furry family members.
His memory will be preserved by his family, who loved him deeply: Kristofor Shoop, Senior (father), Kimberly Shoop (mother), Michaud White (brother), Brandon Shoop (brother), Linda Shoop (grandmother), Shirley Butler (grandmother), Frank Shoop (grandfather), Timothy White (uncle), Lamar Brown (uncle), Richard Shawcross (uncle), Gidget Mitchell (aunt), Nicole Wait (aunt), Dennis Wait (uncle), Diane Shawcross (great aunt), and Dana Shawcross (cousin).
