Linda "Lynn" Bray
June 20, 1947 - July 11, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved MeMe. She was our angel on earth. A loving wife, mother, proud grandmother and friend to all. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 11, 2024.
To say she was amazing would be an understatement. At 19 years old, a divorced mother of two, she decided to attend college. She earned a scholarship to attend Pensacola Junior College then later earned acceptance and graduated from the University of West Florida. In 1976, she earned her B.A. in Communications, Arts and Marketing and became the first in her family to graduate from college. In 1977, she married Ted and they relocated to South Florida. She worked in pharmaceuticals for 30 years and sold the first drug for HIV during the pandemic. Working hard as an oncology specialist rep, she earned sales master titles and trips around the world. Outside of work, she continued her love for travel and enjoyed many cruises and adventures with family and friends. She was an active sorority sister in Beta Sigma Phi, Mu Sigma chapter for 60 years. She held many roles throughout those years, and the girls said she was their best hostess. She knew how to throw a party and have fun! But her true love was her family. She showered us with unconditional love and always celebrated our life’s moments in monumental fashion - never trivial. She was always so supportive and proud of us. She was our favorite cheerleader. Always there for others before herself, always there to listen, and always there to talk, talk, talk. We all will miss those long conversations where we could never say goodbye. This goodbye came much too soon. She will be forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ted; daughter and spouse Karen and Mike Louramore, and daughter Lisa Holifield. Proud grandmother to Kyle and Kayla Louramore.
Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
Family and friends will gather at a later time to bury her ashes at Bayview Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida, as she wished.
