Marguerite Santeramo, affectionately known as "Gammy," passed away on December 7, 2024, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, leaving behind a rich tapestry of cherished memories and a legacy of love that will be felt by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Born on April 20, 1942, in Mount Vernon, New York, Marguerite found joy in the smallest of moments. A kind, loving woman with an unwavering spirit, she was known for her enthusiasm and a great sense of humor that could brighten the cloudiest of days. Marguerite had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and cherished, and her home was always alive with laughter, creativity, and warmth.
Family and friends were the heart and soul of Marguerite's life. She cherished the times spent together, especially during the holidays when the air was filled with love, joy, and the delightful aromas of her favorite dishes. Marguerite delighted in reading stories to her grandchildren, weaving tales that sparked their imagination and fostered their love for literature.
Her artistic side flourished in hobbies like writing poetry, ceramics, and crocheting, where her hands created tangible expressions of her vibrant spirit. Each piece, whether a carefully crafted ceramic bowl or a lovingly crocheted blanket, carried a touch of her love and creativity, now lovingly embraced by her family.
Marguerite is survived by her devoted daughter, Paula, and her son-in-law, Mario. She took immense pride in her grandchildren: Shareef, Alia, Julio Paul, Victoria, Gabriella, who lovingly held her heart. Additionally, she welcomed Mariana, her granddaughter-in-law, and continued to revel in the joys of being a great-grandmother to Angelo and Amir.
Though Marguerite now joins her beloved husband, Paul, and her dear daughters, Patricia and Laura, along with her mother, Doris, along with several family members, those left behind continue to feel the warmth of her love. Her spirit, filled with kindness and laughter, will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, echoed in the stories they share and the traditions she instilled.
As we bid farewell to Marguerite, let us carry forward her legacy of love, creativity, and the importance of family. Her laughter, her warmth, and her welcoming embrace will be missed, yet remain a gentle reminder to us all to spread joy and kindness, just as she did every day of her beautiful life.
