To view Mass, click here: FUNERAL MASS Will be live and sound active Thursday, September 9th, 11 AM Maria Lourdes Aguilar Buncayo, 72, lost her battle with cancer on September 3, 2021. Maria is survived by her children, Adrian and Ana Marie, grandchild Sophia Braha and siblings Jose Augusto Aguilar (Philippines), Marietta Muñoz (Philippines), Maria Agnella Bandril (California), Mary Joan Angeles (Philippines) and Miriam Gorre (New York). She was preceded in death by parents Francisco Calleja Aguilar and Fausta Serrano Aguilar and siblings Maria Teresa Teodosio and Erlinda Mariano. Maria was born on February 11, 1949 in Manila, Philippines. She graduated from St. Scholastics College in Manila in 1967. She went on to attend the University of the Philippines, where she graduated in 1972 with a degree in Nursing. Shortly after graduation, she moved and settled in Florida, where she met many of her closest friends while working as a nurse at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Maria often called “Lou” was a loving mother and grandmother, a caring sister and a loyal friend to many. Although an introvert by nature, she reveled in hosting gatherings to bring people together in camaraderie and with delicious food. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 3 – 7 PM at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory The Great Catholic Church on Thursday September 9, at 11 AM, followed by interment at Our Lady Queen Of Heaven Cemetery.
