In event of technical difficulties the Mass will be posted at a later date. Maria Rosa Ligas Harb (66) passed away August 11, 2021 following a short illness. She is the beloved sister of Antonio, Augusto, Daniel, Luis, Mario, Paolo and Salvador. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and was a lifelong champion of education. Prior to her retirement, she was a Professor of Higher Education and chaired several doctoral students at Nova Southeastern University. While working as a Research Specialist for the Broward County School system she helped create the Institutional Review Board and was a founding member of the South Florida Educational Research Alliance (SFERA) group. She was converant in film, art, literature, philosophy, and so much more. She was a proud Venezuelan, trilingual, and a devoted Catholic who more than anything else loved her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, cooking, and her pet turtle. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00PM at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home 7001 NW 4 Street Plantation, FL 33317. Funeral Mass will be Thursday 10 :30 AM at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Sunrise, Florida. Interment will take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
