Marie Antoinette Patruno

Marie A. Patruno, age 86, a longtime resident of Plantation, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on December 6, 2022.  Marie was a loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother and friend to many.  Marie was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 27, 1936 to Marie and Joseph Fede.  Marie graduated from Essex County Vocational School.  She met her husband, Edward and was married on May 25, 1957.

In 1976, Marie and Ed moved to Plantation, Florida and opened The Party Basket Hallmark Store in the Plantation Town Mall which they operated for 20 years, until it was destroyed by a fire in 1996. 

Marie is survived by her husband Ed of 65 years, daughter Donna Patruno Wells, son in law Timothy Wells, and two grandchildren Christina and Anthony Wells.  Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded by her parents, her brothers Anthony and Vito Fede and sister Mildred. 

Marie was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church and volunteered her services for many years. 

The family will receive friends at TM Ralph Funeral Home in Plantation Florida, on Tuesday, December 13, from 5pm-8pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Plantation on Wednesday, December 14, at 1:00 pm. 

Marie will be entombed at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for children in her name.
