Beechgrove,Tennessee

Marjorie Heap, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 26,2024, in Beechgrove, TN. She was born on October 8, 1937, in New Britain, CT to Rhinehart Semrau and Marjorie Lydia Huck Semrau.  In 1972, she followed her parents to South Florida.

Marjorie dedicated many years of her life to working at AAA where she found joy in planning trips for others and meticulously preparing trip tiks. Her expertise was unparalleled, being able to read maps upside down and highlight roads to avoid due to construction. Colleagues admired her passion for her job and the warmth she brought to the workplace.

Known for her organizational skills, Marjorie even created her own card catalog system to ensure she never purchased the same book twice—a testament to her meticulous nature. Her laughter was contagious, and the twinkle in her eyes could narrate a tale without words.

Outside of work, Marjorie's hobbies included traveling, planning trips for herself and loved ones, indulging in reading, and cherishing moments spent at Ft. Myers Beach, FL.

She is survived by her son Derek Heap, daughter Kara Marple, granddaughter Katelyn Heap, granddaughter Brooke Heap, and granddaughter Lydia Marple. Marjorie will be remembered dearly by all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and dedication.

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Marjorie's life will be held on June 5, 2024, at Lauderdale Memorial Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The service will commence at 2:00 PM.

Marjorie Heap will be deeply missed but forever treasured in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
