Marlon Carid Leconte, born on May 14, 1992, in Long Island, New York, passed away on November 6, 2024, in Weston, Florida. He was a beloved son, loving brother, and cherished friend who had many passions in life.

At an early age, Marlon took an interest in sports and art. He played football in high school and devoted much of his time as a young adult training in a boxing ring. He could jump rope for hours! Marlon’s love for art grew with age and transcended in his writing and music production under the names 'Zwave' & 'Confidenxye'. It brought his family great joy watching him manifest his childhood dreams.

Though Marlon was often quiet, those who knew him well were privileged to see the playful, silly side of his character—a joy in small moments, a gentle humor that could make anyone smile. He was a light that shone brightly when those he loved most were nearby. His sweetness, his warmth, and his loyalty were profound, and those who had the honor of being close to him could feel the depth of his love and devotion.

Marlon battled many silent struggles throughout his life; struggles that were often unseen by the world but noticed by those closest to him. His courage in facing these challenges, his quiet strength, and his determination to persevere were an inspiration to those who walked beside him. Despite the heaviness he carried, his heart remained tender, and his spirit kind.

At the center of Marlon’s world was his mother, Mirma Malebranche, whose love and devotion were the bedrock of his life. Through all his endeavors she was his greatest supporter. His triumphs and lessons were shared and overcome with her by his side. She instilled in him a love for God, and they found strength and solace in reading the scriptures together. Marlon’s faith was a quiet, steady foundation in his life, providing him with comfort even in his darkest moments. His mother was with him from birth until his transition, and the memories they have shared will live within her until the day they reunite.

Marlon held a special place in his heart for his sister, Tamyrnara Leconte, who he looked up to with pride and affection. He admired her many successes and often mirrored her passions. You could find them most evenings sharing competitive banter over college basketball or challenging each other to reach their latest goal. Their bond was infinite and unmatched and their love for each other was felt from near and far.

Marlon dreamed to follow the footsteps of his father, Paul Leconte, who motivated him to work hard and taught him entrepreneurship. He dreamed to be his own boss like his father and cherished the lessons he learned from him. He was also blessed to be part of a loving extended family— stepmother, sisters, aunts, cousins, friends, and all who knew him—who stood by him, supported him, and loved him through all of life’s ups and downs.

In the end, Marlon's life is a reminder that no battle, no matter how hard, can take away the love that surrounds us. He was loved—deeply and completely—and that love will continue to surround him in peace. We take comfort in knowing that the pain he lived with for so long is no more, and that now, he rests in the arms of the One who understands all. We will continue to remember him in the small moments, the quiet joy, and the sweetness he brought to our lives. The years he gave us, no matter how few, will always be cherished.

Rest in peace, Marlon-you will always be missed, but never forgotten. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who have been blessed to experience your love.
