Mary Miller King, 81, of Parkland, passed away February 26, 2021.
Born in Hanover, Pennsylvania; Mary studied at “Peabody Institute of Music” in Baltimore, Maryland, and later became an accomplished pianist and singer. She loved musicals, plays, and ballets.
Mary was formally a resident of Plantation, Florida, since 1977, and began a successful career as an Insurance Agent for Property and Casualty Insurance. She relocated, and became of faithful parishioner of Mary Help of Christians, in Parkland.
Mary is survived by her partner of 20 years, Joseph Delate, Jr.; daughter, Corina King and her husband, John Barnes; two grandchildren, Patrick J. Scullen, and Brian Cohn; and one great grandchild, Oliver Cohn. Sadly, Mary’s son, Peter King, passed away in 1995.
A Memorial Mass will be held, Saturday, March 13th, 2021, 11:00 AM. Inurnment will take place later in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
